If you’re new to the blog, then it’s important for me to point out that I am a postpartum survivor. I consider myself mastering my postpartum anxiety at this point – and I have a 3 year old daughter, named Evelyn. But “mastering” wasn’t always my strong suit, and even with my best intentions, I still have bad days. Now those bad days are rare, and far and few between and I can generally see them coming and I have enough coping mechanisms to stop my downfall from happening.
For those of you who are not like me, I’d love to give you some tried and true protocols so that you also can be on the forefront of mastering your PPD or PPA. Let me walk you through what I use, what helps set me up for success and what you can try as well. I encourage you to give it a full 90 days to see how it affects you. 90 days is enough of a period of time for you to reflect back and give it a good honest overview. When dealing with maternal mental health, there are no quick fixes- so let’s give that assumption up right now. I’m not here to offer you quick and instant. I’m here to offer you longevity, continued healing, and most of all conscious hope that things will continually get better the more you work at it.
