What are Affirmations?
They are little mantras that I repeated to myself on the particularly challenging or hard days, when I felt less than or a failure, and when I need some personal boosts. Changing your mindset is just a piece of the puzzle when managing anxiety or depression, but it’s an important piece.
How do Affirmations Help?
These little reminders allowed me to focus on the words instead of my building overwhelm. They allowed me the breath to calm down instead of shouting at my child or husband, they lower my anger and frustration level, and they boosted my belief in myself when I was at an all time low.
